After playing a one man army in ‘Holiday’, Akshay Kumar once again plays the anti-terrorist squad member in Sooryavanshi who is ready to risk all including his wife and young daughter to take on the terrorists. Directed by Rohit Shetty and written by Karan Johar, Sooryavanshi trailer looks like a typical Bollywood film filled with patriotism, ‘duty above all’ and larger than life characters along with some cheesy dialogues.
The story is set on the backdrop of terrorist attacks in Mumbai in the past and how one man saves the city from a possible attack by foiling their plan. The trailer is laced with dialogues about sleeper cells, RDX and flying cars one piling on the other that’s so typically Rohit Shetty. Since it is an out an out Akshay Kumar movie, we presume Katrina has not much role to play. Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh are roped in for a cameo as Bajirao Singham and Sangram Bhalerao respectively.
Some scenes from the trailer are likely to remind you of ‘Bang Bang’ where as the others are likely to bring back memories of ‘Holiday’.
The movie is set to hit the screen on March 24, 2020.
