Synopsis:
Voot Select bring us The Gone Game the first of its type web series, which is entirely been shot during Covid Lockdown which started from 22nd March 2020 in India, and entire shooting is been done by individual actors from their respective homes without meeting each other. This four episodes web series give us good thrills and shows us some amazing camera work and use of technology. The central theme of the series is around lockdown and is an interesting thriller. The web series has good assemble of cast in form of Sanjay Kapoor, Shweta Tripathi , Dibyendu Chatterjee , Arjun Mathur ,& Shreya Pilgaonkar in significant roles.
Storyline
The story begins from 22 March 2020 when Janta curfew is declare after few 100 cases of Corona found in India. During this lockdown, members of Rajeev Gujral (Sanjay Kapoor) family are stuck in different locations. The only way the family members stay in touch with each other is video calls. Sahil Gujral (Arjun Mathur) son of Rajeev returned from Bangkok, and self-quarantine himself as he stays with his social media celebrity wife Suhani (Shreya Pilgaonkar) in Mumbai. During this period of quarantine he develop some symptoms of Corona and with help of their common friend Dr Prateek (Indraneil Sengupta) gets admitted to hospital, from where the news come that Sahil is dead due to Covid-19.The events occurred after intimation of death indicates that there is some conspiracy behind it. How Amara Gujral (Shweta Tripathi Sharma) Sahil’s sister with help of her hacker friend try to find out the facts forms the rest of the story of this interesting Thriller series.

The length of the series do trick here 4 episodes with length between 25-30 min keeps you on edge and viewer can easily finish the entire series in less than 2 hours.

The camera work been shot during lock is simply amazing and one of its type. As most of the communication of actors been shown through video calls and webcams hence expressions of actors matter most where Shweta Tripathi as Amara Gujral comes a straight winner.
The Misses
The ending of the show is incomplete as its 1st season only and makers promise to bring 2nd part soon. If it were complete, series would be better.
The series is shot in individual houses of actors many viewers may find it monotonous at places to see same setups, as we are not use to it, but as mentioned, it is an experiment and may be “New Normal” as stated many times.

This series is a good experiment and bring us across the new way of storytelling, which makes it different from any other thrillers of current time. The camera work the background score is been perfectly managed by technical team which will keep on edge of your seat for 2 hours.
