The much awaited Yash Raj film titled “Ladies vs Ricky Bahl” has finally hit the silver screen today. The film casts the super hit jodi of Band Baaja Baarat i.e. Anushka Sharma and Ranveer Singh. After Band Baaja Baarat, this is their second movie together. B3 managed to do well at the box office.
Ranveer plays the leading character of a con-man named Ricky Bahl in this movie. He is a player and genius in impressing women. Through his charming looks and dashing personality he makes girls fall for him and then steals all their money including luxury items and leaves them with nothing except a broken heart. In the first half of the movie, he cons Parineeti Chopra, Dipannita Sharma and Aditi Sharma and unfortunately the ladies fail to resist him. Soon these girls think of taking revenge from this con-man.
Here enters Anushka Sharma aka Ishika who comes with a master plan to teach Ranveer a lesson. She fools Ricky by allowing him to con her and plans to counter con him.
Parineeti Chopra has played the character of Dimple Chaddha – a rich Delhi girl. The film opens with her scene in which she is trying to adjust her choli to chow her cleavage. Dipannita Sharma plays Raina Parulekar while Saira Rashid is played by Aditi Sharma in the movie. Anushka Sharma, the leading lady of the film portrays the character of an ambitious sales girl, Ishika Desai. Anushka’s black bikini scene is gaining much popularity.
Coming back to the con man, none other than Ranveer Singh. After playing a rough and tough Delhi boy in Band Baaja Baarat, he now plays a contrasting character in this movie. With his vibrant energy and various avatars he is sure to drive the girls crazy. The plus point of this con-man is that he is a very smooth talker and impresses women with his wittiness. He isn’t sentimental at all. The first half of the film is more enjoyable as compared to the second half.
Ladies VS Ricky Bahl has been directed by Maneesh Sharma who is also the director of Ranveer’s debut film Band Baaja Baarat. Maneesh has tried his level best to stimulate the vibrant energy of Ranveer Singh. This is the reason why Ranveer has been seen topless moving around the beaches, showing his perfectly toned abs.
According to the sources, Anushka is said to be following Aamir’s footsteps. Aamir’s last 3 movies released in the month of December and proved to break all the box office records. Anushka is also on the same track with her super hit movies like Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, Band Baaja Baarat and Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl released in the month of December.
Earlier, during promotions Yash Raj had some unique plans of promotions. The strategy was that during the multi-city promotional tour Ranveer Singh would appear in the different looks which he sported in the movie. But the plans changed as Ranveer was over stressed due to the continuous and vigorous shoot of the film.
