Madhuri Dixit’s fans all over the world will be exited to know that she now joins the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor who have been waxed at Tussauds.
Yes!!! Our very own Bollywood’s dhak-dhak girl Madhuri Dixit is set to join the club of Indian celebrities who figure on the prestigious Madam Tussauds block in London. Though the decision should have taken long back, but it’s never too late. Madhuri whose in Mumbai for good returned from the United States along with her husband Dr. Shriram Nene and her two children.
Madhuri was very excited about the idea of being waxed. She told “I am really thrilled I am going to be included at Madame Tussauds. It’s a real mark of achievement and to be recognized for ones art and work. It’s also wonderful to be following in the footsteps of other Bollywood stars and some of my personal heroes!”
Also speaking to her fans on Twitter, Madhuri says, “Madame Tussaud’s made the announcement and I am confirming it. Will be in London in March to introduce my likeness! Thanks for all your support”
Officials from Tussauds said “The decision to include Madhuri is set to delight Bollywood fans around the world as we are constantly inundated with requests to feature Madhuri. Her figure will make a stunning new addition to our Bollywood area which continues to grow in popularity every year. The figure will cost 150,000 pounds to create and take a team of sculptors, hair, make up and wardrobe experts four months to create,”
44-year-old Madhuri has already given sitting for Madame Tussauds Sculptures in Mumbai and is expected to unveil her wax statue in March this year. She will be drapped in a Manish Malhotra Saree and her hair will loosely flow over her shoulders, showing off her beautiful tresses.
After contributing to the Indian film industry since 25 years she deserves this honour. She has given so many brilliant performances in films like Tezaab, Beta, Dil,
Ram Lakhan, Devdas, Hum Aapke Hain Kaunand many more. She also gave good performance in female oriented movie Lajja. Not to forget her brilliant dance moves in each and every song of her films. Madhuri was included in Bollywood’s leading ladies till she tied the knot in 1999. She did a comeback movie Aaja Nachle but didn’t do well at the box office. Madhuri’s beauty and million dollar smile was dubbed as the reincarnation of Madhubala by the Janta.
Till then our eager fans have to wait till March when the diva unveils her in statue.
