Bollywood Hindi movie’s Numero Uno actress Kareena Kapoor wears the crown of the highest paid actress of tinsel town. At the recent Business Awards, Bebo emerged as the ‘Most Profitable Actress’. With domestic box office collections of 200 cr+ plus movies under her kitty, Kareena emerged the unquestionable money spinner female actor.
From the sources, it is believed that the actress was paid close to Rs. 8 crore for Madur Bhandarkar’s Hindi movie ‘Heroine’, the highest that has ever been paid in the history of Bollywood. “Working with Kareena is like a dream come true. She was always my first choice” said Madhur Bhandarkar.
Kareena Kapoor is also the leading actress in the brand space as per official TAM reports ,with the highest number of brands in her kitty in comparison to her contemporaries ,including biggies like Lakme,Airtel, Hindustan Unilever, Sony,Gitangali, . La vie, Mahindra and ITC to name a few.
The actress in a near 2 year period has delivered four of the top ten grossing films of all time- ‘3 IDIOTS’ which earned Rs 170 crore locally, ‘GOLMAAL 3′ mopping up Rs 108 crore, followed by the 141 crore grossing ‘BODYGUARD’, and the VFX magnum opus ‘RA.ONE’. The actress then went on to put up a noteworthy performance in ‘EK MAIN AUR EKK TU‘.
Bollywood critic Taran Adarsh said, “Kareena is the only actress to enjoy the privilege of being in the 100 crore club. She 
has the looks and talent and the box office is also backing her. She is going to break her own record with her films to come”
Another big name when it comes to the critics is Amod Mehra. “There is no competition to Kareena Kapoor – Talking about numbers and standings in the industry, she is the entire 1-10 margin. She is the Amitabh Bachchan of her time ,there were constant comparisons with her contemporaries but with her recent films she is here to prove she is her only competition” said Mehra.
Says an agency insider, ”Today, actors earn more than 50% of their annual income from brand endorsements, shows and star appearances. Kareena comes right after the Khans in the list of endorsements, and if you count cricketers, only after Sachin and Dhoni.”
“Kareena is at the best stage of her career. It’s a rare opportunity to work with the younger Gen-X lot of actors as well as the established superstars of the industry and Kareena has films with both in her kitty. She is a complete trendsetter,” adds another trade expert.
Well, apart from all the above mentioned things, Kareena, has also been immortalized in wax at the prestigious ‘Madame Tussauds Wax Museum’.
Kareena Kapoor will be seen in ‘Agent Vinod’ in which she is paired opposite real life beau Saif Ali Khan which is slated to release on March 23rd 2012.
