The ravishing Chitrangada Singh starts in Desi Boyz opposite Akshay Kumar. She plays an Economics professor in the film. Akshay says Chitrangada is brilliant in the film.
During her school days, she was offered to play young Smita Patil in a documentary film because of her uncanny resemblances to the late actress.
She is best known for starring in the critically acclaimed film Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi in 2003. A film by Sudhir Mishra. Since then she has been associated with serious kinds of roles. In April 2009, she was awarded the Young Woman Achiever by FICCI.
She met her husband Indian golfer Jyoti Randhawa through her golfer brother Digvijay Singh. They tied knot in 2001 and the couple has a four year old son.
Desi Boyz will be her first masala film for which she looks sensational. Chitrangada’s character required her to look edgy, smart, stylish and yet mature. So her stylist went with fringes for her hairdo.
According to a source, a renowned stylist from London was approached to design her get-up for the film.
Desi Boyz, which also features Deepika Padukone and John Abraham with Akshay Kumar, releases on November 25.
