Director Ajay Chandhok with Producers Mohammad Aslam and Parag Sanghvi ’s Bollywood movie Chatur Singh Two Star is a blend of comedy which will tickle the funny bones of the audiences. Starring Sanjay Dutt , Ameesha Patel and Anupam Kher in lead roles. Other casts includes Satish Kaushik, Murli Sharma, Gulshan Grover, Shakti Kapoor and Rati Agnihotri. It is based on the novel Chalaak Jasoos. Some say the film is inspired by The Pink Panther.
The film is about a clumsy cop Chatur Singh (Sanjay Dutt) with a funny moustache who botches up cases and his goof-ups embarrass the police department. Despite his clumsiness, Chatur Singh embarks on an important investigation and jets off on a secret mission to South Africa along with Pappu Panther (Suresh Menon), who is Chatur’s
right-hand or in this case “wrong-hand” man. He adores and worships his master Chatur, which makes him an even bigger idiot than Chatur himself. This is Chatur’s lifetime opportunity to prove himself.
Both of them bump into Sonia (Ameesha Patel) and with her help, Chatur Singh succeeds in finding the right clues and while doing so he kicks off a string of hilarious events.
Sanjay Dutt, who sports an expensive wig in the film for his role, is specially ordered from London made by Hollywood wig specialist and prosthetic makeup artist. It costs somewhere around 20-25 lakhs. He also put on weight to fit into the character.
The actor not only worked on his look but has also sung a song for the film. Sanjay has crooned two songs in the film – Murga anda dega and the title song Singh Singh Singh…Chatur Singh Coming. The music of the film is composed by Sajid-Wajid.
