“It’s My Life” is a Bollywood romantic drama directed by Anees Bazmee. It stars Harman Baweja, Genelia D’Souza and Nana Patekar in lead roles. It is a remake of the superhit Telugu film Bommarillu which was also remade in Tamil as Santosh Subramaniam. Boney Kapoor and Sridevi are producing this film. Genelia D’Souza plays the same role in Bollywood too.
The story line of the Hindi remake is about a son of an over-protective business man. Every decision of his is made by his father, which leads him into frustration. He half-heartedly agrees to become engaged to a rich man’s daughter, but then falls for a middle-class man’s daughter called Natalie. The father does not approve of the girl marrying his son and asks his son to introduce the girl to his family by letting her stay with the family for 7 days before the decision. The film focuses on his realization that he has to stand on his own and come out of his father’s protective shell- and try to succeed in love. The son also finally decides that he should speak to his father that for once he would like to do what his heart desires.
But what will happen if his dominant dad finds about his affair? Will he support them or separate the love birds? Will the boy’s life be forever dominated by his over protective father? Many unexpected twists and turns add colours to this romantic comedy. Nana Patekar after a long gap. Must say Harman Baweja and Genelia D’Souza make a cute pair.
Music by Shankar Ehsaan Loy. With the trio giving the music we surely know it’s worth hearing.
