Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures’, brings a crime based thriller movie ‘Shootout at Wadala’ which is a prequel to the 2007 hit film ‘Shootout at Lokhandwala’ and is inspired by Hussain Zaidi’s novel ‘Dongri To Dubai’.
The film features John Abraham, Anil Kapoor, Sonu Sood, Manoj Bajpayee, Tusshar Kapoor and Kangana Ranaut in lead roles and Ranjeet as Bhargav Dada. ‘Shootout At Wadala’ is directed by Sanjay Gupta and produced by the director himself, Anuradha Gupta, Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor.
The film shows a dramatize first-ever registered encounter by Mumbai police, where gangster Manya Surve was shot dead, which took place at the junction next to Dr. Ambedkar college, Wadala, Mumbai on 1 November 1982.
Music by host of composers -Anu Malik, Anand Raj Anand, Meet Bros and Mustafa Zahid, have done a fair job of making the music hit with the masses. Upcoming gangster film ‘Shootout at Wadala’ will see not one but three item numbers with Priyaanka Chopra, Sunny Leone and Sophie Choudry putting on their dancing shoes.
Sunny Leone dances for the item song titled ‘Laila Teri Le Legi’ sung by Mika. The song is Sunny’s first item song and it has a classic traditional flavour. Priyaanka Chopra’s ‘Babli Badmash’ has been composed by Anu Malik, sung by Sunidhi Chauhan and choreographed by Ahmed Khan. The costume of Priyaanka in the song reminds of the classic song of Amitabh Bachchan in the movie ‘Yaarana’ which gives a retro look and above all Sophie Chowdhy features in ‘Ala re Manya’ is seen dancing on tables as she shakes a leg with Tusshar and John to the music by Anu Malik. Sophie shows that when it comes to dancing and the oomph factor she is not behind Priyanka and Sunny.
‘Shootout At Wadala’ is a sure hit which releases on 3rd May, 2013.
