Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan may seem to be the sequel of Shubh Mangal Savdhan because of the similarity in movie names, it is NOT! Written and directed by Hitesh Kewalya, and jointly produced by T-series and Color Yellow Productions, Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan is a romantic comedy between 2 young men, Ayushmann Khurrana and Jitendra Kumar.
While Ayushmann Khurrana is already on a dream run with successive box office hits of Bala & Dream Girl. Jitendra Kumar is better known for his web series and spoofs. He has been widely acclaimed for his character Arjun Kejriwal (Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal’s parody).
The movie has already created a buzz due to its out of the box storyline. Other characters include Gajraj Rao and Neena Gupta, Manu Rishi Chaddha, Sunita Rajwar, Maanvi Gagroo, Pankhuri Awasthy and Bhoomi Pednekar in special performance.
The film is shot in Varanasi. Film’s music is composed by Tanishk Baagchi and Vayu. The movie also features a remake of the song ‘Yaar Bina Chain Kaha Re’, originally created by Bappi Lahiri for Saaheb in 1985.
The film looks like a combination of a social message wrapped in healthy comedy.
