Amitabh had a double role in ‘Satte Pe Satta‘. ‘Babu’ is a negative role. The only difference between two is the eyes and hairstyle. Both the characters had to be shown in contrast as one had negative shade. So the first look at the time of Babu’s entry was a big challenge for the director.
The challenge was accepted by music director RD Burman and made it a success. RD is known as world-famous musician, but he was an even better background score artist and foley sound artist. No one else in the world has done as many experiments as him.
Amitabh’s entry as ‘Babu’ in the negative role was challenged by the fact that the music he played should be audible but at the same time it should be mysterious and traumatic.
